BCLA Multitouch Interactive Screens
Johnson & Johnson required two large (2m × 1m) touchscreens to showcase their products at the BCLA conference in 2011. There were two screens and the brief required they be able to have a user interact with them as if they were a giant touchpad-like device.
The code I wrote turned the raw input from the interface cards (via way of a bridge written in .Net) to interact with objects on the screen, allowing the user to move, scale and rotate the images and videos on the screen. Because of the lack of native multi-touch integration with the OS I had to write the code from scratch, and include a lot of extra code just to handle 'odd' behaviour such as jitter and accidental movements.
