Shave Hydro

The Shave Hydro website was a complete new build from which I was involved from the beginning. The site is quite graphical in presentation, which created some few problems with getting it to work with IE6, which doesn't support transparent PNGs. Even the best workarounds had their problems, so a little out-of-the-box thinking was required to make it look as good as possible.

The website connects to an external custom-built product ordering system, upon which I built a shopping cart which makes secure AJAX requests to manage cart items and send the customers through to the final purchase area.

As the site was built on CodeIgniter, I originally used a lot of the built-in validation code, however, I realised that it was lacking in some areas, like email validation, which prompted me to write a lot of my own custom validation routines called inside the framework, which I've since used on other projects.
